I graduated in Software Engineering from Balqa 'Applied University (BAU) in Jordan in 2008, and earned my master's degree in Networking and Information Security with honors from the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) in 2010. Currently, I am a predoctoral researcher at the CiTIUS research center of the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC). Under the supervision of Dr. José C. Cabaleiro and Dr. Thomas F. Pena, working on large-scale distributed systems, that is, modeling, designing, and optimizing platforms for Big Data frames in multiple architectures and hardware environments.
However, my main research interests encompass related technologies and include Big Data management in general. In addition, my main lines of interest include the development of applications and middleware for programming and data-intensive computing such as Yarn, MapReduce and Apache Hadoop.
