Roberto Iglesias Rodríguez

I have received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in physics from the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, in 1996 and 2003, respectively. I am currently an Associate Professor at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain. My research interests focus on control and navigation in mobile robotics, lifelong robot learning and adaptation, and scientific methods in mobile robotics: modeling and characterization of robot behavior (this is a research that I have done in collaboration with other groups in United Kingdom -UK-).

I have taken part in the scientific committee of numerous international robotic conferences and I also have participated in an important number of research projects. Some of the research projects I have coordinated were aimed towards the achievement of service robots able to learn and adapt like people and from people, or the development of strategies to deploy robots in different environments in a short period of time.
