CystImagesDB

This is a dataset composed by 313 kidney images and 447 liver images originally used in the CystAnalyser evaluation process. XML files were generated using CystAnalyser and then supervised by the experts Adrian Cordido and Miguel A. Garcia-Gonzalez (NefroCHUS lab).

This dataset can be valuable for evaluation of image segmentation algorithms, parsing the data contained in the XML files. It can be used as-is to test CystAnalyser capabilities, too.

Data Structure

The dataset is distributed in two zip files: Kidney.zip for the kidney images and Liver.zip for the liver images.

Every zip file contains two folders:

• Images: The original kidney/liver images.
• XML: Cyst annotations using CystAnalyser.

Files are classified in subfolders as Cystic, MildCystic or SeverelyCystic based on cyst severity.

XML files follow this XSD. The root element Poligonos has several FreeHand elements, composed of several FreePoint elements each describing the cyst polygons.
